First time visitor to the area. I came here directly from the Tucson airport and was not disappointed. The pulled pork was mind blowing. A second visit is clearly in order.

Food options are limited in this area, I'm down here every few weeks for work. Was excited when I saw the Yelp reviews but have been let down. I ordered the turkey blt, for $9 the price is steep for what it is. The turkey was bland and kind of dry. I gave then three stars for the lemon with water and that they serve locally roasted coffee.

Came here on my way to Tucson from Madera Canyon last week. Not too far out of the way, and totally worth the drive. I had the turkey avocado BLT, which was excellent. The staff was friendly and kind, and they have a beautiful patio that was very comfortable. Very relaxing, positive environment for a delicious lunch, I'm just sad I don't live in the area and won't be able to go back soon!

First time here, quality ingredients, singular flavor combinations on their sandwiches, wonderful sides to customize your meal. Excellent, friendly service that was prompt and courteous. Will certainly be back!

I FINALLY got in here to try it! After a long, hot summer with the kids and being cooped up in the house, it was a refreshing little treat to visit Rise. We were greeted immediately and had our minds made up in pretty short order. I chose the Rosemary Salt Crusted Roast Beef Sandwich while my husband picked the Pastrami. Both were on rye and phenomenal and the chef gladly announced the Pastrami is her fave due to the work and care that is taken in preparing the Pastrami on-site. We both got cups of soup- mine was a tomato while hubs got the Green Chile Pork. Both were phenomenal and more than enough to comprise a meal alone. Hearty and flavorful with lots of taste layers. We topped it all off with their bombastic tropical iced tea. Every corner of this shop is thought out and lovingly crafted from the food to the decor. You can see how much work, heart & soul has gone into this endeavor. The good people of Green Valley need to "Rise!" & rejoice at the little restaurant that could. Know Before You Go: They have a food truck so stop by if you see them out & about + They offer Wednesday Night Dinners To Go! The menu changes monthly. Perfect for retirees, tired moms and other assorted hungry peeps. Call to reserve.

I had the chicken and artichoke sandwich with the cowboy salad as a side. The sandwich was made with fresh chicken breast and tasty artichoke and spinach and a magical cheese smear. The best part was the mayo. I made comment that it was delicious and owner Jennifer came out personally and told me that it was made with mayonnaise, mixed with fresh basil and fresh limes. It was mouthwatering. The cowboy salad was made with fresh corn right off the cob. Very personable service.

First, the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because it is a little pricey. With that being said, I so recommend this place. The decor is very cool, the indoor covered patio is nice but the outdoor dining is delightful! The weather was perfect to sit under the trellis and enjoy the plants and running fountain! Perfect for taking a break at lunch. As for the food, I got the Turkey Avocado BLT. At first the list of ingredients made me hesitate but all of it together, with their bread was delicious! The Italian pasta salad was yummy too! Try it out and make sure to sit outside when the weather is nice.

Location: Green Valley next to Manuels Mexican Restaurant. Free parking in community lot. First impression: Very well decorated. Very clean looking place and a very comfortable atmosphere Food: Choose two separate sandwich and side combos. Both were excellent (Turkey Bacon Avocado and chicken salad sandwich). Very fresh ingredients. The fresh ice tea was excellent. Can't wait to try the rest the sandwiches. :-) Overall: Well definitely go back. It is higher priced for a lunch but it makes sense for the freshness and taste. ($9 for a sandwich and a side). I would highly recommend this place.

We were in town visiting my boyfriend's parents and found this place through yelp. They seem like they opened fairly recently and are still working out a few kinks, but overall we were very satisfied with our meals. We came here for breakfast and all ordered breakfast burritos or sandwiches, all of which were consumed immediately and with many noises of happiness. None of us were too excited about the breakfast potatoes (they were a little too sweet for my liking) but we all loved our sandwiches/burritos. The coffee they served was about the best coffee in the area, although they only had flavored creamer and we all had to ask for regular milk. The lady taking our order was happy to oblige. To go, I ordered a seven layer bar that was to die for, and a blueberry muffin that was a bit dry and lackluster. The other comments here mention the price as being spendy, which I think is crazy. This food was fresh, whole, and prepared well by friendly people. The portions were large and very filling. Where I live, the same plate would easily go for $10 or $12. I understand that price is regional, but folks should be willing to pay a little extra to support a small local business making good wholesome food. Next time we're in town we will absolutely be back (and hopefully there'll be some regular creamer;).

If you want something fresh and tasty to eat with the cutest decor this is the place! Their Wednesday night take home dinners are delish. Had beef stroganoff last night, it was yummy! Pastrami sandwich is the best I've ever had!

Rise is tucked away in a challenging location in Green Valley but it is worth the effort to find. We were there yesterday for lunch and had great sandwiches with salad sides. Each sandwich (chicken salad and albacore tuna) was yummy and far from ordinary. The ingredients were fresh, crisp and tasty. The bread was substantial and held up to the sandwich. Cute decor both in and out with a nice garden like patio on a pleasant day. One final plus, they serve Yellow Brick Coffee freshly roasted from Tucson. That makes for a great all around experience.

Stopped in for lunch yesterday with the GF and we were both equally delighted to see such a rare gem tucked under the shade of a sub-par Mexican joint. The decor is fun and creative with a very homey sitting in your grandmas kitchen kinda feel to it. The menu is filled with familiar favorites. I had the chicken salad sandwich and I know what you are thinking; "Ughhh chicken salad sandwich really come on" but with thyme and rosemary poached chicken, pickled red onions & roasted tomatoes this ain't your mamas chicken salad sandwich! Tasty Deli sides, scratch made deserts, and a delightful staff makes this place a much have in green valley. GO HERE....... EAT GOOD....... THANK ME LATER. p.s. Try there Balls! Kolaches that is, a warm and tasty bread ball stuffed with bacon, egg and a spicy green chili sauce for dipping.

I just so happened to see this new restaurant when I was going to Manuel's, a popular Mexican restaurant in Sahuarita/Green Valley. Just the name made it a place I wanted to try. So last week when I woke up, breakfast sounded like a good idea and a bistro type breakfast sounded even better. It was time to rise for Rise! My girls join me on this culinary adventure. After all, that means I get to try 3 things from this restaurant and not just one! The restaurant consists of a nice little covered patio area and seating inside. The space is very quaint. The decor consists of clocks and lunchboxes. Clocks, one of the owners told me is for the breakfast crowd and the lunch boxes are for lunch. There restaurant is open from 7 am to 3 pm but does a Wednesday night dinner pick up from 4 - 7. First the owners Jenn Seymour and Gianene Ulibarri are just super sweet and caring people. While we were contemplating our orders, they offered us a sample of Gianene's pork green chili. This was a treat in and of itself. Not spicy, but spiced very nicely. A lot of great green chili flavoring. You could tell they used Hatch green chilis! I decided to try the Bistro sandwich. This came with eggs, spinach, bacon and apples with cream cheese on soft, fresh ciabatta bread. What a fantastic combination that was. The bacon was crisp and everything was very fresh. My oldest daughter had a tofu burrito. This does come with the pork green chili, but you can ask for the burrito without it. I will say that the pork green chili made that burrito delicious! Finally, my youngest daughter is not really a breakfast fan. So she had the Turkey Avocado BLT with a side of Cowboy Salad. The sandwich was delicious. I mean, people say everything is better with bacon, but oh the avocado. I think it's the avocado that rules. The sandwich was delightful, but the star of Meg's order was the Cowboy Salad. This had corn, black beans, and other yummy veggies. It was marinated in a lime-chili dressing that made the salad so fresh and tasty. I only sampled one bite, but I could have eaten so much more. The service was spot on. I thought the food arrived pretty quickly, but they were apologetic for it taking too much time. We ate inside, but I would love to try the outside at some point. It is, as they say, an itty bitty place, but it didn't feel cramped and the atmosphere was relaxed. The owners have included a place to plug in electronic devices and they offer free Wi-Fi. All in all, I give it 4 stars. It's definitely a place to try. It is a small setting, so inside may not be the best for a large group. I think you could make that work outside. The restaurant is a little off the beaten track, so if good folks like us Yelpers don't try it and share, this hidden jewel may not get noticed!

Food was really fresh & delicious. Had the turkey avocado BLT which I modified a bit and found to be delicious. Tried the key lime kolache too which I thought was a bit overrated. But everything else was great and the staff was very attentive too. Will definitely be back to try more things.

Fantastic sandwiches at a ridiculously low price. Came here for lunch on a family vacation, and everyone one of us enjoyed the meal. Ingredients are fresh and flavourful. I had the chicken artichoke sandwich, one a nice country white bread. The sandwiches are a good size - you won't leave here hungry.

Was glad to find this cute little place on a trip to Green Valley. Had the turkey BLT and it was real turkey meat and not cold cuts! They also suggested a teff wrap when I asked for no bread and it was delicious. I'll definitely stop again!

Thank you Yelp members! The food was Fantastic, If you like spice, this is the place to try. The Turkey sandwich was made with real turkey. Unlike most Delis that use processed meat, this is worth the extra few dollars to get good quality. The chili was better thank I have ever made. Happy New year, and the best for your business in 2015! Thanks, for the great food, I will be back often.

Really good. My boyfriend and I were in town for errands and we decided to try it. It tasted really good, great service and you could tell the two ladies cooking loved what they're doing! I got a grilled cheese and a cup of soup, a basic lunch but it was really good. Kind of cool that they had breakfast too in the afternoon, my bf got a steal bfast burrito, the tater tots on the side were "f-ing" awesome" according to him. The best part is I didn't feel too full when I was done. Definitely will be returning.

Tucked away in a little shopping plaza is the best sandwich shop in Green Valley. The girls working in there were friendly and polite. I had the pulled pork sandwich which had the perfect amount of tangy smoky barbeque sauce on it. As a side I chose the pork green chili which was incredible, just the right amount of spiceyness. Can't wait to go back.
